How can I remove a doll’s scent?

I have a Berenguer baby doll with vinyl head, arms, and legs. The doll has a very strong baby powder or rose scent to it, and it’s quite overpowering. How can I safely get rid of this scent on the doll? (Putting it outside in the sunlight is not feasible where I live.)
